Roles and Permissions
ConceptOverview
Roles group permissions. Permissions control whether a user can view or change areas such as clients, appointments, clinical notes, or administration settings.
When is it used?
Administrators assign roles when creating users and when job responsibilities change.
Common role examples (illustrative)
| Role | Typical access |
|---|---|
| Front Desk | Clients, appointments |
| Clinician | Schedule, encounters, notes |
| Biller | Insurance and billing views |
| Administrator | Users, roles, clinic settings |
Exact role names and permissions are configured per clinic. Treat the table as a starting point, not a guarantee.
